Our client, a leading organization in autonomous mobility, is seeking a dedicated Network Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be integral to supporting the security infrastructure that safeguards our customers, staff, systems, communications, and data. Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $80/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Support and maintain our network security systems, including firewalls, URL filtering, IDS/IPS, network access control, and remote access VPN.
- Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of advanced network security programs, processes, and practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Information Security, IT, Product, and Operations to enhance security measures.
- Manage and support AWS network security services, including AWS Network Firewall, Security Groups, and NACLs.
- Implement and oversee next-generation firewall and UTM devices, ensuring robust protection across the network infrastructure.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience supporting production network security environments.
- Extensive background in IT systems, application engineering, and administration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS network security services, including practical knowledge of PKI, cryptography, and certificates.
- Strong understanding of the OSI model and Layer-7 protection techniques related to network security.
- Proficiency in managing AWS Network Firewall, Security Groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway, and VPC architectures.
