Network Security Engineer
Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA, 15222 (Preferred) / Strongsville, OH, 44136 / Dallas, TX, 75234 / Birmingham, AL, 35233 / Phoenix, AZ, 85016
If within proximity to the office onsite, if not, then the worker can be remote.
Length of Assignment: 12 Months Contract to Hire role
Pay Rate: $45-50/hr. on W2 ONLY
Function of the Group: Network Security Operations
Initiatives/Projects: Supporting Network Access control through entire Enterprise
Industry background: Technology background, financial background is nice to have.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support the implementation, expansion, and ongoing administration of HPE Aruba ClearPass NAC solutions.
Administer network access policies and ensure alignment with enterprise security standards.
Provide day-to-day support for end users experiencing network access issues.
Monitor NAC platform health, authentication activity, and policy enforcement effectiveness.
Must Have Technical Skills: 3-5 Years of experience:
1. HPE Aruba ClearPass or other enterprise NAC platforms,
2. Experience supporting enterprise endpoint onboarding and authentication services,
3. 802.1X Authentication,
4. RADIUS and TACACS+,
5. Network Segmentation,
6. VLAN Assignment,
7. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, and Switching,
8. PKI and Certificate-Based Authentication,
9. Experience troubleshooting network access issues affecting end users.
Flex Skills/Nice to Have:
1. Experience administering or supporting Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, security policy management, rule reviews, and network segmentation initiatives. 2. Experience supporting enterprise Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and/or Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) environments.
3. Knowledge of secure web gateway (SWG), cloud security, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and user access control concepts.
4. Experience leveraging ServiceNow for incident, request, change, and access management workflows.
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Industry certifications below are a nice to have:
1. CompTIA Security+,
2. CompTIA Network+,
3. Cisco CCNA,
4. Cisco Certified Specialist or Cisco Client-related certifications,
5. Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA),
6. Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP),
7. Fortinet NSE Certifications (FCP/Fortinet Certified Professional or equivalent),
8. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (preferred for senior candidates).
Interview Process: First round: Virtual 45min- 1 hr Panel interview. Second round: possible if needed.
