Job Title : Network SME 
Location: :New York
Duration: 6-12 Months
Pay Rate: $53 - $60/hr (all Inclusive)

Introduction

This position focuses on managing and optimizing a lab environment geared towards network infrastructure within a trading lab. The role requires a strong understanding of networking, lab management, and the ability to support multiple concurrent projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Internetworking skills with at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience with structured cabling and various transceivers.
• Proficiency in core routing and switching, preferably Cisco NXOS and Arista EOS.
• Basic understanding of servers and various NIC cards.
• Lab management experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills (written & spoken).
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of multicast and traffic generator tools (e.g., Ixia, Spirent).
• Familiarity with network tools such as NetBox and Infoblox.
• Experience with automation languages like Python and Ansible.
• Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) to streamline operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Build and manage feature testing, interoperability, and certification testbeds in the lab.
• Support network infrastructure within the trading lab, working alongside existing lab support structures.
• Provide network connections for fast-moving trading plant topology reproduction in the lab.
• Design, present, and implement new lab processes and procedures.
• Manage lab capacity and inventory, including lifecycle management of lab devices.
• Document lab testbeds and maintain detailed records of testing equipment connections.
