Position: Network Specialist

Client is seeking an experienced Network Specialist to install, configure, maintain, monitor, and support enterprise network infrastructure serving City departments and business operations.
The selected consultant will be responsible for supporting local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), network hardware, communications systems, and City-standard software applications. This role includes providing technical support to end users, troubleshooting network-related issues, resolving connectivity problems, and ensuring reliable and continuous network operations across the City's technology environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong network administration skills, technical troubleshooting expertise, customer service capabilities, and experience supporting enterprise network environments and end users.
The Network Specialist will work closely with infrastructure teams, Help Desk personnel, systems administrators, vendors, and business users to ensure stable and secure network services.

Experience
• 3+ years of Network Administration, Network Support, or Technical Support experience.
• Experience installing and configuring network hardware and software.
• Experience supporting Local Area Networks (LAN).
• Experience supporting Wide Area Networks (WAN).
• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• Experience providing technical support to end users.
• Experience supporting enterprise desktop and network environments.
• Experience configuring network devices and communications equipment.
• Experience supporting wireless networking environments.
• Experience resolving hardware, software, and network-related incidents.
• Experience documenting support activities and technical procedures.

Skills
• Strong network troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer service and user support abilities.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts.
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
