Computer Services Consultant II

Location: San Diego, CA (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $39/hour
Duration: 6-Month Contract with high likelihood of extension or conversion

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Computer Services Consultant II to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role is responsible for supporting Windows and Mac workstations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining computer equipment, and delivering exceptional technical support to end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and end-user issues.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and macOS workstations.
  • Support printers, peripheral devices, conference room technology, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Deploy, image, upgrade, and maintain computers and related equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and basic system access.
  • Respond to and resolve support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Maintain computer inventory and assist with equipment deployments.
  • Create technical documentation and user guides.
  • Provide technology orientation and training for new employees.
  • Support on-site meetings and assist with technology setup as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years of Desktop Support and/or Help Desk experience.
  • Experience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Experience managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting audio/visual equipment and conference rooms.
  • Experience with computer imaging, deployments, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, or Atlassian products.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (AirWatch/Workspace ONE preferred).
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Batch, or Shell).
