Network Support Engineer

Summary of Position:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Noida. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Routing and Switching, with additional expertise in VPN technologies, Security protocols, Collaboration tools, and Datacenter infrastructure. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions that meet the organization's requirements for performance, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Routing and Switching:

• Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot LAN and WAN networks (including MPLS)
• Manage and optimize network performance and security using Cisco IOS and ASA devices
• Configure and maintain VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), and access control lists (ACLs)
• Implement and manage high availability protocols (HSRP, VRRP)
• Manage network configurations using change management procedures

2. VPN and Security:

• Manage and configure firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, ASA, Cisco, etc.) as the primary line of defense for network security.
• Design, implement, and manage various VPN solutions (IPsec, SSL VPN, Easy VPN, Remote Access VPN) with NAT-T capabilities for secure remote access.
• Implement security measures to protect network communications and data integrity.

3. Wireless Networking:

• Understanding of 802.11 technology
• Have hands-on experience in deployment of Cisco ISE and Aruba products
• Good knowledge in Cisco/Aruba Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points and VMware platform, 802.11 and EAP transaction
• Good understanding of Authentication processes: dot1x, Captive portal
• Provide expertise in Wireless networking technologies, including WLAN design, implementation, and optimization.
• Configure and manage Wireless LAN controllers, access points, and security policies to ensure seamless connectivity and coverage across the organization.

4. Collaboration:

• Extensive experience with Cisco collaboration technologies including CallManager, Unity Connection, CallManager Express, Unity Express, IP Phones, Voice Gateways, and Gatekeepers
• Manage and troubleshoot voice and video communication systems

5. Datacenter:

• Possess a strong understanding of data center technologies with experience in Cisco Nexus products (N9K, N7K, N6K, N5K, N3K, N2K)
• Manage and troubleshoot data center switching and routing infrastructure
• Configure and maintain VLANs, access lists, VTP/STP protocols
• Maintain a basic understanding of MPLS

6. Additional Responsibilities:

• Document network configurations and procedures
• Participate in network capacity planning and future infrastructure upgrades
• Troubleshoot network issues and identify root causes
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure network integration within the overall IT environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in Routing and Switching protocols and technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments
• Exhibit excellent problem solving/root cause analysis skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
