Network System Engineer - Plano, TX - Contract - $73-78 Per HR
Join a dynamic team as a Network System Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex system engineering activities. This role requires expertise in various operating systems and hardware solutions, with a focus on delivering technical support and solutions. The position is based in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC, and is a contract opportunity.
Description
- Lead and participate in system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support.
- Design, develop, and implement software and hardware solutions.
- Provide technical and break/fix level support for operating systems.
- Perform OS administration tasks on virtualized and bare metal servers.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues efficiently.
- Handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing environments.
- Work a flexible schedule, including on-call and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Recommend and design software and hardware solutions.
- Provide technical support for various operating systems.
- Automate tasks using scripting skills.
- Troubleshoot network and performance issues.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
Qualifications
- 10 years of systems engineering experience.
- Senior-level experience with Linux.
- Proficient in OS administration on virtualized and bare metal servers.
- Expertise in clustering solutions and SAN configurations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
