    Job Description

    INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Neurohospitalist (Inpatient Consult Neurologist) for a "week on/week off" employment model. Our consult NeuroHospitalist Service provides support for emergency care (Level II Trauma Center), certified comprehensive stroke center care, and inpatient care.

    • 7 days on/7 days off; 168 weeks per year

    • Updated and competitive comp model

    • Two Neurologists cover at a time

    • System-wide EPIC EMR, Ceribell EEG system

    • Stroke coordinators are engaged with the NeuroHospitalist Service and provide process support; there is a separate Neuro-ICU which has separate physician coverage

    • Required skillsets - EEG reads inc. continuous monitoring (2-7 combined daily), Lumbar Punctures (occasional though necessary/labs first)

    • Strong inpatient Medical Staff culture and processes (ED, Hospitalist Service, Radiology/IR, Specialty Care...)

    • Physician-led medical group and collegial relationship with hospital administrationThe Physician provides direct patient care.

    The Physician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately and documents information completely by use of written notes or dictation on a timely basis
    • Identifies relevant medical issues accurately and uses appropriate procedures and testing
    • Completes and maintains problem list, medication list, disease management forms, preventative maintenance flow sheets and other medical record forms
    • Participates in the quality improvement and medical management plans as directed by the Medical Operating Committee
    • Provides direction to staff members for an efficient and smooth running team
    • Ensures fiscal viability of the practice
    • Complies with policies and procedures if applicable.
    • The Physician is responsible for patients.

    This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and incidents of workplace violence. Must follow universal safety precautions. Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals.
