Neurohospitalist Physician - Morton Plant Hospital

Position Overview:

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a General Neurohospitalist to provide coverage at Morton Plant Hospital, a 600-bed facility located in Clearwater, Florida.

 

• Morton Plant Hospital is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by DNV GL Healthcare as has achieved quality awards by the American Stroke Association.
• Morton Plant Hospital averages 900 stroke alerts annually and is currently the only Comprehensive Stroke Center servicing mid-North Pinellas County (roughly 65% of our stroke population arrives via EMS).
• TeleSpecialists (teleneurology) currently handles all stroke alerts.

What you can expect:

• Coverage at one hospital.
• Schedule includes approximately 15 24-hours shifts a month.
• Collaboration with and outpatient coverage provided by BayCare Medical Group’s Neurology team as well as Neurology Physicians within the community.
• Applicants should be comfortable with seeing a wide range of neurology patients and interpreting EEGs.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification/Board Eligibility by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• MD or DO
• Ability to obtain a Florida medical license.
