Shift: Clinic hours (8:30 am – 5:00 pm), night call (5:00 pm – 8:30 am), 24-hour weekend call
Hours/week: 40 hours guaranteed; 45 hours eligible for OT
Employment Type: Contract (Locums)
License/Certs: Active California license, DEA, Board Certification required in neurosurgery or eligible, FLUORO certification (temporary acceptable)
Experience: Minimum 2 years recent hospital clinical activity in neurosurgery; complex spine experience preferred

What You’ll Do
Provide inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical care within a busy hospital setting in Eureka, CA
Manage complex spine cases and other neurological surgeries
Participate in clinic and call rotations, including weekday daytime and night/weekend call
Document all procedures accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
Collaborate with surgical teams and hospital staff to deliver exceptional patient care
Complete required case logs and meet privileging requirements
What You Need Required:
Active California medical license and DEA
Board-certified or eligible in neurosurgery (within 3-5 years of residency)
FLUORO certification (temp accepted)
2+ years of recent hospital clinical experience in neurosurgery
Recent case logs (last 24 months, total 100 cases for privileges)
Preferred:
Extensive experience with complex spine cases
Proven ability to work under call shifts and in high-acuity settings
