Required Skills:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with specialized training in neurological surgery
  • Valid medical license in the relevant state or jurisdiction
  • Proven experience in complex brain and spine surgeries
  • Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and surgical techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stakes situations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Fellowship training in neurosurgery or a subspecialty area
  • Research experience or published work in neurological surgery
  • Familiarity with minimally invasive surgical procedures
  • Bilingual abilities or multilingual communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Board certification in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery or equivalent authority
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of post-residency surgical experience in a hospital or academic setting
  • Experience with advanced neuroimaging and intraoperative navigation systems

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
  • Ability to travel, if required, to various hospital locations or conferences
  • Certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and relevant emergency protocols
