Overview:
We are recruiting a highly qualified Neurological Surgeon for locum tenens coverage starting July 13, 2026. This role involves providing expert neurosurgical consultation and surgical intervention during 24-hour call shifts at Santa Rosa. The position offers flexible on-call responsibilities, with no requirement to be onsite during beeper call, allowing for a balance between professional dedication and personal time. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and adhering to the highest standards of clinical practice. Required Skills:
- Active California medical license and DEA registration
- Certification in radiology (Fluoroscopy), active or temporary fluoroscopy certificate
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency completion
- Proven proficiency in neurosurgical procedures and trauma management
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently during on-call hours and make swift, accurate decisions
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with remote or beeper call systems
- Experience in hospital privileging and credentialing processes
- Familiarity with neurosurgical equipment and technology
- Ability to adapt to evolving clinical environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of neurosurgery residency program
- Two or more years of current hospital practice in neurosurgery with documented case logs
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex neurosurgical cases and emergencies
Other Requirements:
- Submission of an updated CV with hospital affiliations included
- Familiarity with privileging standards and documentation processes
- Willingness to work on scheduled shifts and accommodate additional dates as needed
- Travel and licensure-related reimbursements included, where applicable
