    Job Summary:

    Mission Hospital is seeking general neurohospitalists to join a busy and expansive comprehensive stroke center located in Asheville, North Carolina.

    Qualified Candidates:
    • Board certified or board eligible in neurology
    • Stroke training is a plus
    • New and experienced physicians encouraged to apply
    • FT and PT Shifts Available

    Position Overview:
    • Join an established group of Hospitalists and APPs
    • Hybrid inpatient consultative neurology covering general, stroke, ICU and all emergent neurological care
    • Neurointerventional physicians support Stroke Mechanical Thrombectomy procedures
    • Shift based, days only; No night responsibilities
    • 7 on/off scheduling available 
    • Teaching opportunities available

    • Serves as the regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care in western North Carolina and the adjoining region

    • 12-bed Neuroscience ICU
    • 36-bed dedicated neuroscience and stroke unit
    •  Interventional Neuroradiology and Neurosurgery

    • Houses the region’s only dedicated Level I trauma center
