Neurosurgery-Endovascular Surgeon

The Lillian S. Wells Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida is seeking a fellowship-trained Endovascular and Cerebrovascular Neurosurgeon to become part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing education, and supporting innovation in the treatment of complex cerebrovascular disease. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive endovascular neurosurgical care, including the diagnosis and treatment of complex cerebrovascular conditions, while contributing to a high-volume trauma program and the management of acute neurotrauma and emergent cerebrovascular cases. Candidates will work closely with specialists in neurology, neurocritical care, radiology, and trauma services, participate in clinical operations and call coverage, and play an integral role in the education and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students.The Lillian S. Wells Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida, College of Medicine is committed to providing comprehensive clinical services for the diagnosis, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients suffering from diseases of the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system, including brain tumors, aneurysms, stroke, epilepsy, functional disorders, and spinal disorders and injuries. Our clinical care mission also extends throughout North Central Florida through regional neurosurgery programs. We offer the full spectrum of neurosurgical and neuro-oncology treatment options for both adults and pediatric patients. Our research labs and investigator-led initiatives and clinical trials are developing promising new treatments for neurological diseases that are extremely difficult to treat with conventional therapies. The Department of Neurosurgery offers education and training programs such as ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency programs and fellowship programs.

Classification Minimum Requirements:	M.D. (or equivalent) from an ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency program. Board certified or board eligible in Neurological Surgery. Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida.
Job Description:	The Lillian S. Wells Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Florida is seeking a fellowship-trained Endovascular and Cerebrovascular Neurosurgeon to become part of a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing education, and supporting innovation in the treatment of complex cerebrovascular disease.   This faculty member will join a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary neurosurgical program within a major academic health center and Level I trauma center. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced training and clinical expertise in endovascular and cerebrovascular neurosurgery, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and, where applicable, scholarly activity.   Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive clinical care in endovascular neurosurgery, including diagnosis and treatment of complex cerebrovascular conditions. Participate in and support a high-volume trauma program, contributing to the management of acute neurotrauma and emergent cerebrovascular cases. Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on achieving an exceptional patient experience aligned with institutional standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurology, neurocritical care, radiology, and trauma services. Participate in on-call coverage, departmental clinical operations, and hospital service responsibilities. Contribute to the education and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students
Expected Salary:	Commensurate with Experience
Required Qualifications:	M.D. (or equivalent) from an ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency program. Board certified or board eligible in Neurological Surgery. Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida.
Preferred:	Completion of fellowship training in Endovascular Neurosurgery or Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery. Demonstrated experience in a high-volume trauma center. Established expertise in advanced endovascular techniques and technologies. Evidence of commitment to academic neurosurgery, including teaching and/or research.
