Summary Studio Other is seeking qualified professionals to enhance its brand and business results in the Southern California market. Applicants should bring a range of relevant skillsets and experiences required to build relationships at various interior design and real estate firms, resulting in increased specification and sales within Studio Other's business influencer community and client base. This is an outside sales position requiring a percentage of the applicant's time to be spent visiting with influencers, clients, and external contacts. Performance will be evaluated based upon change in sales YoY in the Southern California region attributable to the applicant's direct contributions, as well as the volume of specifications and opportunities YoY that result from applicant's work.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and submit an annual Sales Business Plan to Studio Other leadership.Establish brand awareness within the Southern California market across designated interior design and real-estate channels through industry events, brand presentations, mass communication, etc.Develop one‑on‑one relationships with business influencers, including but not limited to designers and FF+E specifiers at designated “target firms” practicing commercial interiors, tenant‑rep project management professionals executing workplace projects, and real‑estate professionals working in vertical markets that align with Studio Other's target audiences.Drive specifications and order activity for Studio Other through awareness and relationships, resulting in increased sales YoY in designated regions and increased opportunity count at target design and real‑estate firms.Meet weekly and/or monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) intended to foster effective business influencer relationships and improve win results.Delegate and hand off account management responsibilities in an effective manner to sales teammates and support staff.Provide high‑level customer service levels to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals established by management.Use Salesforce to track KPIs, manage opportunities, promote new opportunities and leads, and communicate with other sales team members.Qualification Requirements Basic financial acumen, including the costs and margins of business.Sound, practical knowledge of products and services offerings.Fundamental understanding of internal business process at Tangram.Proficient at using Customer Relations Management software.Proficient in soft skills: relationship‑building and personal rapport, follow‑up and professional persistence, professional decorum, communication style, and attitude consistent with Studio Others' brand identity, understanding and ability to communicate basic design details and overall Studio Other process, and communicating clearly on opportunities in Salesforce.Proficient in computer‑based communication and project tools, including Outlook, Excel, PPT, Adobe, Teamgantt, and Plangrid.Additional skillsets adding value: interior design education/experience; industrial design education/experience; design/construction industry‑based experience; team‑based selling experience; existing relationships in the LA market of design and commercial interiors.Proper English, grammar, and punctuation. Read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.Effectively present information in one‑on‑one small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Perform mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Carry out written and oral instructions.Display polite, professional and courteous relationship with employees and customers.Possess exceptional time management and organizational skills, as well as the energy/drive to remain in the field working face‑to‑face with a multitude of clients and potential customers.Interpersonal and communication skill to interact effectively with a wide range of people both within and outside the company.Education and/or Experience College degree preferred, but not required.Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in business transactions, and providing the highest level of customer and employer satisfaction.Employment performance demonstrating consistent initiative, dedication, commitment, and perseverance.Knowledge of sales process and previous sales background preferred.Licenses/Certificates California Class C Driver's License and proof of valid auto insurance is required.Physical Requirements Communicates orally with management, co‑workers and the public in face‑to‑face, one‑on‑one and group settings.Regularly uses a telephone for communication.Uses office equipment such as a PC, copier and fax machine.Sits for extended periods.Walks lengthy distances at a job or customer site.Hearing and vision within normal ranges.Extensive travel using public transportation (i.e., automobile and airplane).Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 a year.
