    Responsibilities:

    New Business Development

    • Build and execute an acquisition plan against an assigned new account list, treating marketing qualified leads as the primary lead source in conjunction with other proactive outreach activities.
    • Prospect proactively via calls, in-person visits, and targeted outreach to supplement inbound leads. Considerable contact, lead and opportunity creation with little to no existing contacts to work from.
    • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline well in excess of sales targets.

    Account & Opportunity Management

    • Qualify and prioritize opportunities quickly; manage each deal from first contact through close/order.
    • Forecast accurately and keep opportunity data current in CRM.
    • Partner with Solution Engineers and Specialists to bring the right technical resources to each pursuit.

    Customer Engagement

    • Establish relationships with economic, technical, and procurement stakeholders at each target account.
    • Run a discovery process to uncover needs and position Keysight solutions at both the executive and technical level.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience with a demonstrated record of new-customer acquisition and delivering above-planned growth.
    • Experience running a full & complex sales cycle and managing multiple stakeholders with limited account-management support.
    • Willingness for high levels of travel for prospecting and customer meetings.
    • Proven track record of developing new business opportunities and expanding market share
    • Self-starter, comfortable operating independently against broad direction; treats the territory like their own business.
    • A sense of urgency, deadline, and results orientation.  
    • Resilient with cold outreach and rejection — qualifies fast, moves on quickly, and doesn't dwell on a no.
    • Strong executive-level and consultative selling skills; focus on qualifying and closing quickly.
    • Enough CRM and territory-planning discipline to manage a defined account list, even though the role rewards speed and volume over long-term relationship depth.

    This role requires someone who is a self-starting closer who can create a large pipeline of business within a short period of time. 

     

     

    The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.

     

     

    California Pay Range MIN $215,180.00 MIDPOINT $286,900.00  MAX $358,630.00

     

    Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
