    New Car Director – Automotive Dealership

    Our dealership has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven, and experienced New Car Director. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the new vehicle department, including inventory management, sales performance, manufacturer relationships, pricing strategy, and team development. The New Car Director works closely with executive leadership to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Direct and oversee all operations of the new vehicle sales department
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and gross profit objectives
    • Manage new vehicle inventory levels, ordering, and aging
    • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer representatives
    • Monitor market conditions and adjust pricing and inventory strategies accordingly
    • Recruit, train, coach, and develop sales managers and sales consultants
    • Establish performance goals and monitor key performance indicators
    • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies
    • Review sales reports and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Collaborate with finance, service, and marketing departments to support dealership objectives
    • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process
    • Lead department meetings and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
    • Five or more years of progressive automotive sales management experience, including leadership of a new vehicle department.
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
