Mission Statement

Position Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Sort and organize new goods merchandise according to established standards.
• Price individual items based on guidelines provided by the Manager.
• Lift, move, and transport merchandise throughout the warehouse and retail staging areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the new goods processing area.
• Assist in preparing merchandise for seasonal promotions or store display changes.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines during daily operations.
• Collaborate with the New Goods & Merchandising Manager to prioritize and complete daily tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail, warehouse, or merchandising experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment and perform physical tasks regularly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic math skills for pricing items accurately.
• Positive attitude towards assigned tasks and displaying a strong work ethic aligned with

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
• Work is primarily conducted in a warehouse or backroom setting, which may be subject to varying temperatures.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre and post hire background check and drug screening.
• Availability to work at various sites within the Goodwill Mississippi service area with limited notice.
