Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities: • Assists Exercise Physiologist II with all aspects of the Sports Acceleration program to include initial assessment, instruction designing and implementing sport specific training and team training, assessing strength, power, flexibility, speed, and quickness • Operates all gym equipment and has computer knowledge • Promotes the services of sports medicine through public speaking, health fairs, and sporting events • Performs duties that commensurate with national certifications

Work Environment: Work is performed in areas where noise level requires raising your voice to be heard. Risk of exposure to infection exists. Volumes of work and time constraints are significant. Work involves interaction with outpatients. Hours can be irregular.

Responsibility: Responsibility involves the maintenance of patient safety/well-being.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science required.

Certifications: • ECG competent • Current CPR certification • Preferred Qualifications: • ACLS certification • ACSM Exercise Specialist certification
