Experienced RNs (2+ years acute care): Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus

Pay: $36.00-$49.16/hour Gross Pay: $432.00-$589.92 per 12-hour shift (before taxes and deductions; overtime paid in accordance with applicable law)

Why Medical-Surgical Nursing?

Medical-surgical nursing provides a strong clinical foundation, exposing nurses to a wide variety of patient conditions and helping them develop critical thinking, time management, and patient care skills. This broad experience creates opportunities for advancement into specialty nursing, leadership, and advanced practice roles.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers safe, high-quality, patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team, the RN provides direct patient care, promotes positive clinical outcomes, and ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practice.

  • Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital policies.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Assist with procedures, diagnostics, patient stabilization, and other department-specific clinical interventions.
  • Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the assigned department.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Bridgton Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $36.00 to $49.16 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
