Job Description:

Job Duties Include:
Receives all new patient referrals, builds charts, circulates new patient form, and works closely with front office supervisor tomonitorstatus of referral.
Fax thank you letter to referring provider.
Call patients when referral received, obtain insurance information andanymissing basic patient information to completechart.
Providesinitialinsuranceinformation topreauthorizationteam.
Obtainsarelease of informationfrompatientwhen needed.
Contacts referring provider and other pertinent facilities foradditionalrecords required byBeaconbefore the patient is seen.
Communicates appropriately with back-office teamandproviders for scheduling parameters for specificreferral.
Communicates withpatientto arrange new patientappointmentand set expectationsaround first visit needs.
Closes outreferral andinputsinformation in electronic chart.
Managescurrent and future electronic schedules to ensureappropriate,timelyscheduling.
Sends new patient information packets including map, ROI’s, etc. when needed.
Maintains new patientspreadsheetdaily and monthly referral summaries.
Maintainsunscheduled new patient appointmentsto ensure patients are scheduled withinthe mandatorytimeframe.
Operatesmultiple medical software programs including Microsoft office.
Responsible for documenting andmaintainingprocesses for new patient coordination.
Mayoperateasback-up front office, checking in patients andparticipatingin the phone answering throughout the day.
Creates and suppliesclinicwith new patientpackets.
Collaborateswith fellow NPCs to ensure cross training, coverage,and organization between workflows.
