Job Title: New Product Launch Engineer

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled New Product Launch (NPL) Engineer to lead and manage the introduction of new products into manufacturing processes. This role focuses on overseeing design reviews, implementing product upgrades, and ensuring a seamless launch of products within our heavy machinery manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industry leaders like Caterpillar (CAT), John Deere (JD), or similar companies and possess a strong background in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • New Product Launch Management: Coordinate and oversee all aspects of new product introduction, including project planning, process optimization, and execution.
  • Design Reviews: Participate in and lead design review sessions to ensure manufacturability, compliance with specifications, and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Product Upgrades: Implement product upgrades to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure readiness for new product launches.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the manufacturing process, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project timelines, process changes, and performance metrics, reporting progress to stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving: Troubleshoot issues during the launch phase, providing technical support to ensure successful implementation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • 2-3+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant, preferably in heavy machinery production.
    • Proven track record of managing new product launches in a manufacturing setting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of heavy machinery systems and components.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, design principles, and process validation.
    • Proficiency in CAD software and design review tools.
  • Industry Expertise:
    • Experience working with or for companies like Caterpillar (CAT), John Deere (JD), or similar heavy machinery manufacturers.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Work Environment:
  • On-site role with occasional travel as required.
