Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Cotswold area in finding a Newborn Care Specialist for their baby, due in October. The nanny would be needed to work 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, ranging from 5 - 7 nights a week.
The best newborn care specialist would be a dedicated, compassionate professional who is experienced and passionate about caring for newborns. Each evening, the newborn care specialist would be expected to come in and meet and exceed the needs of the baby each night. This includes soothing the baby, changing the baby, feeding the baby, putting the baby to bed, ensuring safe sleep, and ensuring baby-related duties are completed. There will be a bedroom provided for the newborn care specialist to rest while the baby is sleeping. A monitor will be provided so the newborn care specialist can check in on the baby as needed while the baby sleeps. The family is looking for a newborn care specialist who possesses Newborn Care Specialist training (a certificate would be a major plus) and is CPR and First Aid certified. Any NICU, nursing, or medical experience would be a plus but is not required. The newborn care specialist should have the warmth and enthusiasm to provide expert care to the baby each night.
Nanny Responsibilities Include:
Meeting needs of the baby (feeding, changing, sleeping, and comforting)
Ensuring the baby has a safe sleep environment
Handling diapering, bathing, soothing techniques, and umbilical cord care
Bringing baby to mom for feedings, or bottle feeding if needed
Logging diaper changes, sleep, and other important details of baby’s night.
Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):
Assist with baby’s laundry and linens
Changing baby’s sheets and changing pad cover
Restocking diapers and other baby items
Tidying up after child and NCS
Washing and sanitizing bottles and pump parts
Emptying diaper pail as needed
Pets: The family has two 40-pound Goldendoodles. The newborn care specialist must be ok with dogs and not allergic to them.
Qualifications:
Newborn Care Specialist Certificate
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Newborn care specialist certificate or medical licensure is a plus (CNA, RN, LPN, MD, etc.)
Have a professional resume

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:
This position starts around October 2026 (once the baby is born)
Legal pay is offered at $35 - $50 an hour, depending on experience and expertise
