Job Summary/Description: WSMV4 in Nashville is looking for an experienced reporter for our weekday morning newscasts who excels at live reporting and enterprising stories. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong life skills and a track record of developing sources and digging for news.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Report live on WSMV 4 and WSMV 4+ on weekday mornings
  • Develop and pitch unique enterprise stories daily
  • Shoot video, write, and edit when necessary
  • Optimize story presentation for all WSMV news platforms
  • Participate in daily editorial decisions

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience as a reporter
  • Excellent live reporting skills
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills and editorial judgment
  • Ability to shoot and edit on deadline
  • Understanding of digital and social platforms
  • Clean driving record
  • Four-year college degree
