Job Title: Next Steps Director

Reports To: Operations Director
One Line Job Description Summary: To create and lead a clear, effective pathway that helps people move from the first-time guest to growing with God and others at the Ridge.
Summary: The Next Steps Director is responsible for designing, executing, and continuously improving the systems that help people take their next best step in following Jesus. This includes first time guests, connection opportunities, serving pathways, and adult ministries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.- Gather, connect, serve, give, and invite others to be part of the Ridge community and its mission.
- Grow and establish relationships with current attendees of the Ridge while continuing to have a heart to reach new people for Jesus.
- Positively reflect and promote the vision, mission, strategy, and values of The Ridge to both internal and external audiences.
- Create and maintain a clear simple next best step for individuals who attend the Ridge.
- Build systems to capture, track, and respond to guest information including baptisms, serve signups, and prayer and care requests.
- Lead and continue to evolve the guest experience team to create a consistent “street to seat experience” including traffic, greeting, and refreshment teams.
- Create and sustain easy on-ramps for serving opportunities as well as first time guests connection.
- Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders for serving inside and outside of the walls of the church.
- Assist on the administration and development of adult ministry environments at the Ridge including things like Bible studies, small groups, and additional class environments as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership.

- Proven ability to build teams, lead others, and develop effective systems.

- Highly organized with strong planning and administrative skills; comfortable using common technology and communication tools.
- Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
