Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities
As a Software Developer you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Demonstrate a knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented software design
- Develop, evaluate, and review C++ language code programming using C++, Python 3, and MATLAB
- Have experience with model-based system engineering approaches
- Collaborate with team members to design future enhancements
- Develop software for an advanced synthetic modeling and training environment.
- Support software development, software integration, customer training, and demonstrations.
- Develop Web-based applications using development technology
- Design tests ensuring proper behavior of models.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering. Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering may qualify with at least 5 year''s of C++ experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00/Yr. - USD $153,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. AMERICAN SYSTEMS provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance programs, and education and training assistance.
