The NAIR ATLAS Lab is looking for a student assistant to help with a variety of tasks within their lab.
Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Job Duties
Work in a materials lab focusing on slitting processes for thermoplastic and thermoset materials. You will assist in slitting operations, learn the necessary technical skills, and become familiar with key industry standards for material slitting. Comply with AS9100 and contamination-controlled area (CCA) requirements.
Use hand and power tools when needed and cross-train in other areas if the workload requires it. Forklift and respirator certification will be required to work within the area.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
