You will be required to:
- Perform inspections on complex fire alarm systems, network control units, smoke control interfaces, voice evacuation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions or deficiencies in control panels, initiating devices and notification devices.
- Adhere to NFPA 72, AHJ, Fire Marshal and National Electrical Code regulations.
- Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports.
- Identify and document deficiencies on systems.
- Communicate system status and explain necessary corrective measures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematic plans.
MUST HAVE, at minimum:
- NICET level II in Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania
- Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in challenging atmosphere
- Ability to work well with customers, Owners, and facility managers.
- Proper use of testing equipment and procedures
- Understanding of water damage prevention
- 2-5 years of testing and inspection experience, hands-on
- Ability to work with AHJ and Fire Marshal
- Time Management
