We are seeking a highly specialized NICU Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to provide advanced clinical pharmacy services for critically ill neonatal patients in Houston, Texas. This opportunity is designed for a pharmacist with dedicated pediatric residency training and hands-on NICU experience who can contribute specialized medication expertise within a high-acuity neonatal care environment.
The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist will provide direct pharmacy support for critically ill neonates, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the NICU care team. This role requires an advanced understanding of neonatal pharmacotherapy and the clinical judgment necessary to support safe, effective, and individualized medication management for medically complex newborns.
The ideal candidate is a NICU-focused clinical pharmacist who has completed a PGY2 residency in Pediatrics and has direct experience managing pharmacotherapy for critically ill neonates. A pharmacist with PGY2 Critical Care training may also be a strong candidate when paired with current, substantive NICU clinical experience.
This position is particularly well suited for a pharmacist who is already comfortable functioning as a specialized member of a neonatal critical-care team and can bring advanced medication expertise to complex NICU patients.
$131,000 – $156,000 annually
Compensation within the listed range will be determined based on the candidate's NICU clinical experience, residency training, specialized pharmacy expertise, qualifications, and overall alignment with the position.
At Tap Healthcare Solutions, we recognize that highly specialized clinical pharmacists have invested extensively in developing expertise that goes well beyond general pharmacy practice. This opportunity allows an experienced NICU pharmacist to apply that specialized training where their knowledge can directly influence medication safety and outcomes for some of the most clinically vulnerable patients.
Our team will work with you throughout the hiring process with clear communication and attention to your professional background. We'll help ensure the opportunity aligns with your residency training, NICU experience, compensation expectations, and long-term clinical pharmacy goals, so your next position makes meaningful use of the expertise you've worked to develop.
