Summary
The Developmental Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting our smallest patients and their families. In this specialized position, you'll assess the unique developmental needs of neonates and partner closely with caregivers to create individualized, family-centered care plans. You'll collaborate with the care team to plan, coordinate, and teach developmentally supportive strategies, while evaluating their effectiveness to ensure each infant thrives. Your expertise helps empower families, promotes healthy development, and drives compassionate, evidence-based care in the neonatal environment.
Annual Salary Range: $79,913.60 - $117,873.60
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in nursing.
Experience:
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in the NICU.
Specialized Training:
- Requires completion of NIDCAP training within 18 months of hiring.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must possess a valid Arizona RN license and be in good standing with the AZ Board of Nursing.
- Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center within 3 months.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must demonstrate effective problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Requires computer literacy, facilitation skills, ability to handle multiple complex projects, excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, leadership skills, and critical thinking.
- Must demonstrate compliance with Valleywise Health policies and procedures, standards of care, and documentation in practice.
- Must be able to work with culturally diverse people.
