Leadership Scope

Key Responsibilities
Anticipated responsibilities include:
Provide nursing leadership for the Level IV NICU.
Support safe, appropriate care for infants with complex neonatal needs.
Guide staffing, department organization, and operational priorities.
Coach and develop nursing staff and frontline leaders.
Collaborate with providers and other clinical professionals to coordinate neonatal care.
Partner with Level II NICU leadership to support continuity of care and transitions.
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to clinical and operational concerns.
Promote professional communication, accountability, and nursing practice standards.
Participate in the shared leadership on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current Colorado RN license or an active multistate RN license authorizing practice in Colorado
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
At least three years of charge, supervisory, or management experience
Active, unencumbered nursing licensure with no current or previous disciplinary action
Strong organizational, critical-thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate positively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice
Availability for administrative day hours and shared on-call coverage
