What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience, specifically within Level III units
- Proven expertise in delivery attendance, assisting with deliveries (vaginal and C-section), and newborn transition support
- Proficiency with managing ventilators, central lines, and administering various medications
- Skilled in IV placement, drawing labs, and performing critical procedures such as chest tube insertions, PICC, UAC, and UVC placements
- Experience with ultrasound, echocardiograms, EEGs, intubation, and nitric oxide therapy
- Strong patient advocacy, empathy, excellent communication, and customer service skills
- BLS and NRP certifications are required
- Epic experience is preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
- Ability to float to Neonatal Observation Unit (NOU) with patient ratios of 1:4-6
- Experience assisting with x-rays, CBG, ABGs, and blood transfusions
- Comfort in performing neonatal procedures and education for new mothers, including breastfeeding support
Preferred Education & Experience:
- At least an Associates degree in Nursing; Bachelors preferred
- Previous experience in Level III NICU settings
- Valid licensure and certifications in good standing
Other Requirements:
- Self-scheduling with an every-other-weekend obligation
- Availability for at least one major and one minor holiday
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
- Travel and lodging reimbursements where applicable
- Must be willing to float to the normal newborn nursery as needed
