Our hospital is seeking a dedicated NICU Registered Nurse who excels in delivering exceptional care to our most fragile patients—newborns in need of specialized attention. What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience, specifically within Level III units
  • Proven expertise in delivery attendance, assisting with deliveries (vaginal and C-section), and newborn transition support
  • Proficiency with managing ventilators, central lines, and administering various medications
  • Skilled in IV placement, drawing labs, and performing critical procedures such as chest tube insertions, PICC, UAC, and UVC placements
  • Experience with ultrasound, echocardiograms, EEGs, intubation, and nitric oxide therapy
  • Strong patient advocacy, empathy, excellent communication, and customer service skills
  • BLS and NRP certifications are required
  • Epic experience is preferred

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Ability to float to Neonatal Observation Unit (NOU) with patient ratios of 1:4-6
  • Experience assisting with x-rays, CBG, ABGs, and blood transfusions
  • Comfort in performing neonatal procedures and education for new mothers, including breastfeeding support

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • At least an Associate’s degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Previous experience in Level III NICU settings
  • Valid licensure and certifications in good standing

Other Requirements:
  • Self-scheduling with an every-other-weekend obligation
  • Availability for at least one major and one minor holiday
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
  • Travel and lodging reimbursements where applicable
  • Must be willing to float to the normal newborn nursery as needed
