What You’ll Do

• Provide expert nursing care to neonates in a busy NICU and newborn nursery setting
• Attend high-risk deliveries and assist with neonatal assessments
• Conduct car seat testing and handle all newborn diagnoses
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Support families with education and care planning
• Participate in emergency response teams as needed
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and hospital protocols

What You Need
Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years NICU experience
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, CPI
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• Willingness to work 2 of 4 major holidays annually

Preferred:

• Experience in high-risk deliveries and neonatal diagnosis
• Ability to float to postpartum/pediatrics units when needed
• Flexibility to respond to emergency assignments

About the Assignment
This assignment is in a NICU and newborn nursery unit dedicated to caring for high-risk and well newborns. The team manages complex neonatal needs, including high-risk deliveries and neonatal diagnostics, in a fast-paced environment. You will support family-centered care, attend emergent deliveries, and assist with neonatal assessments and treatments. Candidates should be comfortable working night shifts and responding to emergencies as directed.
