Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse NICU (Night Shifts) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit team. This is a full-time position requiring 12-hour night shifts, where you will provide specialized nursing care for critically ill and premature newborns in a collaborative healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to NICU patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
Monitor, assess, and document the condition and progress of neonates under your care.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions while ensuring patient safety.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate and support parents and families regarding the care and condition of their newborns.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and professional ethics.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Active California Registered Nurse License at time of hire.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a NICU or similar acute care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
2 or more years of NICU nursing experience.
Experience with Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
Specialty certification in Neonatal Nursing (RNC-NIC) or Critical Care Nursing.
Strong skills in family-centered care, critical thinking, and crisis management.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.
