Night Auditor – Holiday Inn Brookfield, WI

Holiday Inn Brookfield is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing the hotel during overnight hours while ensuring smooth front desk operations and completing daily financial reconciliation.
 
The Night Auditor plays an important role in maintaining guest service standards, operational accuracy, and compliance with IHG brand standards and the IHG One Rewards loyalty program.
 

Position Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for managing the front desk during overnight hours, assisting guests, balancing the hotel’s daily financial transactions, and preparing reports for the next business day.
 
This role combines guest service responsibilities with accounting and operational duties to ensure the hotel’s daily operations close accurately and efficiently.
 

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service


• Welcome and assist late-night arrivals and overnight guests
• Provide professional check-in and check-out services
• Respond to guest requests and resolve concerns in a timely manner
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests during overnight hours
 
IHG One Rewards Loyalty Program


• Recognize and deliver benefits for IHG One Rewards members
• Ensure loyalty members receive proper recognition during check-in
• Promote and enroll guests in the IHG One Rewards loyalty program when appropriate
• Deliver service that reflects the hospitality standards of an IHG brand hotel
 
Night Audit & Financial Responsibilities


• Perform daily night audit procedures and financial reconciliation
• Balance room revenue, payments, and system transactions
• Generate daily financial and operational reports
• Ensure all guest accounts are accurate and properly balanced
• Prepare the hotel system for the next day’s operations
 
Front Desk Operations


• Manage reservations, room assignments, and guest accounts
• Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
• Handle guest calls and requests during overnight hours
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams when necessary
 
Brand Standards Compliance


• Follow IHG brand standards and service expectations
• Use hotel systems such as Opera PMS and IHG operational tools
• Ensure proper handling of reservations and guest billing procedures
• Maintain professional appearance and service delivery standards
 

Qualifications

• Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred
IHG hotel experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic accounting or financial reconciliation experience preferred
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn hotel systems
• Ability to work independently and manage overnight responsibilities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
