As Night Auditor, you would be responsible for overseeing the auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions to support the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Responsibilities:
Post and balance all hotel work for each day.
Handle all computer end of day issues and problems that might occur throughout shift.
Reconcile credit card system to daily transaction list from rooms.
Assist with incoming and departing guests during the overnight period.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in English (verbal and written), second language an asset
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Ability to lift, pull, bend, push moderate weight and stand for 8 hours or more a day.
Flexible schedule (Overnight is a must, Weekends & Holidays)
Other duties as needed
Knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects, such as, accounts, receivable, payroll, etc.
Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using Excel software and other various software programs.
Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error.
Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after employee begins work.
Maintain an open line of communication between guests, team members and management
This is a full-time, year-round position working at Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown. 11PM to 7AM shift schedule is required, including weekends and holidays.
