Night Custodian (80733)

Perform cleaning services to all areas of Iona University.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Includes cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, climbing a ladder to clean windows and lifting up to 50 pounds of any assigned areas such as bathrooms, offices, classrooms, auditoriums, gymnasiums, dormitories etc.

• Collection and disposal of any garbage and recyclables from all trash containers and bringing it to designated areas.

• Sweep, mop, strip and buff hard wood floors where necessary.

• Report to supervisor any faulty building functions such as lights, doors, locks, bathroom fixtures.

• Assist snow removal department when needed.

• May require overtime.

• Any other duties as requested.

Required Experience

• Possess some knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning agents.
• Valid Driver's License.
• High School Diploma preferred.
