Night Custodian Sweeper (2025-2026) - Bullitt Lick Middle School

Bullitt Lick Middle School is looking for a hardworking individual to be our night sweeper. We are looking for a person that takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, is trustworthy, and has outstanding attendance. We are also looking for someone that works well with other people as a team.

Position Details

Hours: 6.5 hours per day

Contract Length: 182 days per year

• 170 student instructional days
• 4 holidays
• 7 plannning days
• 1 extended day

Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date

Employment Status: Full-time (eligible for benefits)

Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education:
• High school diploma or GED
• Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.

Compensation & Experience Credit

202-2027 Pay Scale

• Starting Pay (Step 0): $14.84/hour
• Experienced Pay (Step 10): $16.89/hour

New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.

• The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.

Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.

Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate <> Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. <> Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay
