?? Location: Near Dolton, IL

?? Shift: Sunday-Wednesday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Auto Warehousing Company is hiring a Night Shift Rail Yard Clerk to support rail operations. This is an outdoor position, with approximately 80% of the shift spent driving throughout the rail yard while monitoring and documenting railcar activity.
Job Duties:
  • Enter railcar data accurately into inventory systems
  • Monitor and maintain railcar inventory records
  • Communicate with railroad crews and management regarding railcar arrivals, departures, and availability
  • Verify waybill information and report discrepancies
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
  • Answer incoming phone calls and provide administrative support
  • Assist facility management with daily operations
  • Open and close rail track gates as needed
  • Identify and resolve operational issues in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
