Kitchen Hood & Exhaust Cleaning Technician (KEC Tech) Location: Phoenix,AZ Position Type: Full-Time Shift: Overnight (Start between 8:00–10:00 PM / End between 4:00–6:00 AM) Compensation: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience Bonus: Weekly performance bonus ($100 – $350 depending on role), plus $250 hiring bonus after 90 days Hours: Average 30–55 hours per week

Overview: Kitchen Guard Phoenix is hiring full-time, overnight Kitchen Hood and Exhaust and Filter Cleaning Technicians. This is a skilled trade position that plays a critical role in protecting commercial kitchens by cleaning and maintaining kitchen exhaust systems according to NFPA 96 fire safety standards. The role is physically demanding and requires individuals who are dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow. Experience in kitchen exhaust cleaning or related trades is preferred but not required.

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly pay based on experience: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour

Weekly performance bonuses ranging from $100 – $350, depending on position

$250 hiring bonus after 90 days of employment

Biweekly pay with direct deposit

Consistent overnight scheduling with guaranteed hours

Average of 30 to 55 hours per week, with overtime likely

All tools, equipment, and uniforms provided

Job Responsibilities:

Clean commercial kitchen hoods, ductwork, and exhaust fans to NFPA 96 standards

Use commercial pressure washing equipment and safety gear

Set up and tear down job sites efficiently and safely

Access rooftops, ladders, and confined spaces as needed

Perform minor maintenance or repair on upblast exhaust fans

Complete job reports and communicate any safety or mechanical issues

Work overnight shifts, typically Sunday through Thursday

Qualifications:

Prior experience in kitchen exhaust cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical trades preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks for 8 to 10 hours per shift

Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders and in confined spaces as well as getting wet and dirty

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow directions or lead a team as needed

Available for full-time overnight work, including potential overtime
