Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Night Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production operations at a fast-paced solar panel manufacturing facility. The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee nightly production activities, supervise production employees, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and help maintain efficient production output.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with manufacturing experience who can motivate a team, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $30.00 per hour
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: Full-time
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead manufacturing employees during the night shift.
- Assign employees to production stations and monitor daily production activities.
- Ensure production goals, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.
- Monitor production lines and address equipment, material, and workflow issues.
- Train, coach, and develop production employees.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, productivity, and timekeeping.
- Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production priorities.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment issues and repairs.
- Inspect production processes to ensure solar panels meet company quality standards.
- Identify production bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Complete shift reports and communicate important production information to management.
- Assist with inventory, materials, and production supply management.
- Ensure proper handling and movement of materials throughout the production area.
- Respond quickly to production problems and make appropriate decisions to keep operations moving.
- Work closely with day-shift leadership to ensure smooth shift-to-shift communication.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of manufacturing or production supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Solar, electrical, semiconductor, automotive, or related manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a production team.
- Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment-related issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete production reports.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by the production environment.
- Must be dependable and able to work a consistent night-shift schedule.
