We are looking for someone with a diverse set of skills to oversee our facility from 5PM-3AM Monday-Friday. The actual job description will include the following activities and will depend on the person's background and skill set:
- Sanitation
- Inventory control
- picking/packing orders
- overseeing fermentation and cookhouses
- equipment maintenance
- facility maintenance
Battistoni Italian Specialty Meats has been around for 95 years and we are looking for someone to help maintain our older building and to assist with random things that come up in running an artisan meat production facility. We make pepperoni, salamis and other artisan specialty meats.
This year, the company was taken over by a new team that is focused on eliminating preservatives from everything we make. The energy in the building is pretty amazing.
This job is for someone that wants to wear a lot of hats. The perfect candidate has worked in various construction roles, or has been a plumber or has worked for refrigeration companies and is looking for a new place to call home.
Immediate projects include:
- plumbing repairs
- Flooring
- painting
- refrigeration repairs
- food manufacturing repairs
And if the projects go dry, we will want this person to help in the warehouse wherever is needed. This person will work closely with several departments and will become a key person in the organization pretty quickly.
Compensation: $18-$35/hour depending on experience. Promotion from within, bonuses, insurance are all possibilities.
