Night Shift Production Supervisor

The Night Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all overnight manufacturing and fabrication operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role supervises fabrication activities, including CNC plasma cutting operations, coordinates closely with the Quality and Shipping departments, and serves as the primary point of contact for all night shift personnel and operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all night shift manufacturing and metal fabrication operations to ensure production schedules are met

  • Supervise fabrication processes including CNC plasma cutting, threading, and related metal fabrication activities

  • Coordinate with Quality and Shipping departments to ensure products meet specifications and are completed and shipped on schedule

  • Lead, train, and support production personnel while maintaining a safe and productive work environment

  • Conduct routine floor inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards

  • Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency, implementing corrective actions as needed

  • Troubleshoot equipment, production, staffing, and workflow issues to minimize downtime

  • Maintain accurate shift reports and communicate production status, quality concerns, maintenance needs, and operational updates to day shift management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience in metal fabrication, including threading and fabrication processes

  • Experience supervising manufacturing or production teams, preferably on a night shift

  • Hands-on experience with CNC plasma cutting operations required

  • Strong knowledge of fabrication shop operations, quality control, and shipping coordination

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook); experience with ERP, WMS, or manufacturing software preferred

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Ability to work overnight shifts, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
