Job Description

The Night Shift Coordinator is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all facility operations during the overnight hours. You will serve as the primary point of contact for staff, ensuring that production targets are met, safety protocols are strictly followed, and any operational hurdles are resolved before the morning shift arrives. This role requires a high level of independence, decisive problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain team morale during demanding hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end workflow of the night shift to ensure all production or service quotas are met on time

  • Supervise, train, and support overnight staff, addressing any performance issues or interpersonal conflicts immediately

  • Conduct regular floor walks to ensure 100% adherence to OSHA standards and internal safety protocols

  • Maintain detailed shift logs and provide comprehensive handoff reports to the morning management team regarding output, incidents, or equipment maintenance needs

  • Act as the first responder for equipment malfunctions, facility issues, or staffing shortages, implementing quick and effective solutions

  • Monitor work output to ensure it meets company quality standards and client specifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or 24/7 service environment

  • High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook) and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems (WMS)

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear morning handoffs

  • Must be able to work a consistent overnight schedule, including some weekends or holidays as needed

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs if necessary

  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
