Job Summary:
Bongards’ Creameries is seeking a Night Shift Slice Wrapper Relief Operator based out of our Humboldt facility. The Night Shift Slice Wrapper Relief Operator is responsible for assisting Supervisors, Leads and Machine Operators. The Relief operator is required to know all processes and standard operating procedures associated with the slice wrapper machines. The relief operator will develop into becoming a go-to person for the slice wrapper area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must learn and demonstrate proficiency with all wrapper machines, general labor and machine operator duties
- Provide break coverage to slice wrapper operators
- Follow all related Standard Operating Procedures
- Clean and Set up equipment for inspection and start up
- Ongoing Chemical, GMP and HACCP training
- Powered Industrial Truck Training and Certification
- Manage multiple assignments
- Work in a safe and proficient manner
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent Math and Reading skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of ROSS, HMI, Powered Industrial Trucks
- Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other Quality guidelines
- Must maintain highest quality standards for plant and equipment cleanliness
- Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
Schedule:
- Night Shift 5:45pm to 6:00am Monday - Friday, frequent Saturday
