POSITION SUMMARY
As an Evening Warehouse/ Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of warehouse operations. Your responsibilities include preparing and completing inbound and outbound shipments and providing vital support to the supply chain by collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving household goods and products. Operating technical equipment, maximizing loading for efficient logistics, and supporting various warehouse functions are essential to this role, ensuring the business operates optimally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Keep packing materials and equipment clean and well organized.
Assist with the loading/unloading of household/office goods to/from vehicles/containers.
Maintain traffic flow of drivers and vendors – load and offloads throughout the day.
Check all goods against the inventory/packing list and ensure accurate and safe storage.
Ensure accurate paperwork for the liftvan location is provided to the relevant staff member.
Ensure accurate entry of weights for each shipment in the weight ticket application
Supervise safe loading and unloading of containers and maintain accurate records.
Stay up to date with system updates or changes to warehouse technology and processes.
Use warehouse technology and software to track inventory, confirm shipments, and input necessary data.
Sort waste material for regular collection, ensuring cleanliness in the yard and on trucks.
Safely operate forklifts, adhering to safety regulations and recording/reporting accidents.
• Ensure that all accidents are recorded and reported.
Adhere to departmental and relevant procedures while meeting all quality standards.
Keep the warehouse clean and neat, and point out any safety hazards to management immediately.
Communicate effectively with warehouse team members and supervisors regarding any discrepancies or operational issues.
Maintain confidentiality and perform any other duties as requested by the Company

Must be able to successfully obtain a TSA / STA approval
Measure master license within the first 30 days in position
Forklift certified
Driver’s license preferred, but not required
Ability to follow directions and exercise sound judgment and decision-making

Status: Full-time, non-exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Evening Shift - 8hrs
Starting at 11 am during Non-Peak Season
Starting at 1 pm during Peak Season

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear, and speak. May be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions. Noise levels may be high when operating power equipment. Employees may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting materials. The employee must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and must ask for assistance when lifting items that are bulky, excessively heavy, or appear beyond the employee's capability. The employee is required to properly use safety equipment, as appropriate to the work, to prevent injury to themselves or others.
