AMERICAN SYSTEMS is looking for our next TMAC Engineer III (Network Engineer)!!! 

 

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a TMAC Engineer III (Network Engineer), to support the NISSC 3 program at Peterson Space Force Base. The TMAC Engineer III will provide technical engineering support for Test and Development Facility (TDF) systems and tools, ensuring operational readiness for developmental and integration activities. This role includes troubleshooting, configuration, preventive maintenance, and upgrades, as well as support to laboratory infrastructure, test activities, and coordination with TMAC leadership and crossfunctional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical engineering support for TDF systems and tools, including troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization to ensure system availability and performance.

  • Reports to Program Manager, interfaces with government representatives.
  • Drives team daily performance indicators.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and implement system and network upgrades to maintain operational readiness for all developmental and integration activities.
  • Assist with the setup, monitoring, and recovery of lab infrastructure, including network, compute, storage, and associated support systems.
  • Participate in test support activities and workgroups, providing engineering input to test planning, execution, and problem resolution.
  • Implement technical solutions in collaboration with TMAC leadership and other technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with mission and program requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports for system and network modifications, changes, and upgrades, ensuring traceability and configuration control.
  • Evaluate new engineering requirements, technologies, and solutions as needed to enhance TDF/TMAC capabilities and efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce operational checklists, local procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for technical facility operations.
  • Coordinate with system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and other engineers to support integrated site operations, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in systems or network engineering, technical facility operations, or similar roles in a mission assurance or defense environment.
• Extensive experience in technical facility operations management, including support system administration, scheduling, and operations coordination.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting complex testing and development projects, integrating site support across multiple functional areas.
• Experience with setup, monitoring, and recovery of lab or testbed infrastructure (network, servers, storage, and associated tools).
• Proven ability to implement technical solutions in collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in activity/incident reporting, compliance documentation, and enforcement of technical procedures.
• Experience with continuous process improvement and risk management within technical operations or engineering environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field,
OR Equivalent DoD/Military training in systems engineering, network engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum: Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI.

• Holds Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred:
– CSSLP
– GCLD
– GSEC

Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $96,800.00/Yr. - USD $161,500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
