Driscoll Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Manager to lead and support our team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs).

The NNP Manager provides clinical and operational leadership for NNP services at Driscoll Children’s Hospital and the neonatal units supported through our Neonatal Regionalization Support Program (NRSP). This leader will oversee staffing, clinical practice, professional development, quality initiatives, and daily operations while promoting collaborative, family-centered neonatal care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support NNPs across Driscoll and its affiliated neonatal units.
• Provide oversight and support for the Neonatal Regionalization Support Program.
• Coordinate NNP staffing and ensure appropriate coverage across supported locations.
• Promote safe, consistent, and evidence-based neonatal care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards, hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and documentation expectations.
• Assess, coach, and evaluate NNP clinical practice and performance.
• Develop educational and professional development opportunities that strengthen clinical competency and career satisfaction.
• Partner with leadership on recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, corrective action, and other personnel matters.
• Encourage NNP participation in clinical councils, committees, quality initiatives, and the development of practice standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, ancillary departments, and administration to support effective patient care and operations.
• Serve as an advocate and liaison for NNPs, neonatal patients, and their families.
• Support quality control, performance improvement, patient safety, and infection prevention initiatives.
• Assist with departmental budgets, resource utilization, operational planning, and administrative reporting.
• Maintain clinical competency and provide direct patient care as needed.
• Lead and support the team through organizational and clinical practice changes.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
• License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
• Certification in area of specialty preferred.
• NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications.
