About the Role
Dexter is hiring a non-CDL Metro Driver to run established local delivery routes. This role is all about safe driving, on-time deliveries, and good customer service — no long hauls, no overnights.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, or trailer products as assigned.
- Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Secure, load, and unload materials using proper safety procedures.
- Record the quantity and type of cargo transported as required.
- Drive short- and long-distance routes as needed.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or incidents.
- Monitor road conditions, traffic, and weather to ensure safe transportation.
- Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks; report any issues or defects.
- Follow company procedures for accidents, emergencies, and equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and activity logs.
- Report mechanical concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including loading, unloading, staging materials, inventory tasks, and general housekeeping.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years old
- Minimum 12 months’ experience driving commercial, delivery, warehouse, or comparable vehicles preferred.
- Valid driver’s license per federal and state requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid medical card
- Safe driving record
- Ability to work long hours and travel when required
- Examples of comparable vehicles include, but are not limited to box trucks, city delivery trucks, walk-in vans, heavy-duty pickups, or straight-bed or bucket trucks (GVWR 10,001–26,000 lbs.)
- Knowledge of general road safety practices and applicable transportation rules.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse duties (lifting, loading, moving materials).
