Delivery Drivers
Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for non-CDL delivery driver positions working out of Meriden, CT.
Drivers will be leaving rom Meriden making stops in MA, NY and Philadelphia.
Drivers are responsible for operating company vehicles to deliver goods to various locations in a timely and efficient manner. Candidates must have clean driving records, a valid driver’s license and a valid DOT medical card.
Two shifts are available: 12 p.m.-8p.m. or 8a.m.-12 a.m. Candidates must have open availability to work weekends.
The salary is $21-$24 an hour, based on experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles safely to deliver goods to various locations
- Load, unload and secure items in the vehicle for safe transit
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
- Communicate with dispatch to ensure that timely delivery schedules are met
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle
- Ensure accurate delivery documentation, including obtaining customer signatures upon delivery
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Valid DOT medical card
- Experience driving delivery vans and/or box trucks
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Warehouse experience
- Able to work flexible schedule and holidays
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
